Bruce's Review of Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40 Millimeter Long Range Rifle Scope
This scope replaced a 4.5 X 14 x 50 VX2. Was a bit concerned about losing some brightness when going from a 50 to a 40mm objective lense, but so far I cannot see a difference in light gathering - maybe the 30mm tube vs the 1" tube on the VX2 makes up for the smaller objective lense?
Image is bright and clear to the edges, side parallax adj is GREAT and I LOVE the additional magnification!
Aim small - hit small.
My only gripe is that Leupold does not offer Nickel DD rings in medium height.
The available high rings put the scope WAY TOO HIGH above the action!
