Leupold - always the right decsision - Leupold VXR 4-12x50mm Matte Rifle Scope

Hello friends ! I am a sport shooter from central Europe. We have
cold weather, unfriendly people and high prices. When considering
a Zeiss costs more than 2500 € around 2900 $ with the same feautures,
unfriendly customer service and 0 help and expensive repairs, I decided
not to buy Zeiss anymore. This Leupold is the real deal. I hesitated
first but I am very glad, that I made this purchase. Leupold never
let´s you down. Leupold is one of the few companies that can combine
a reasonable price and a maximum of quality and features. You can´t
beat Leupold. Love Leupold, hate Leupold... but it´s the only brand
out there that is decent from customer service, price and reliability.
I have owned several Leupolds over the years and only sold them to
upgrade my already existing one´s. Sadly my last selling did go wrong
and it was stolen. From the reliability, long life and value of those
scopes whether as hunter, marksman, military shooter or hunter, you
can never go wrong with a Leupold. Even the 3-9x40 VX-1 series is of
very great value what you get for your bucks. I have in comparison
a Swarosvski 6x42 and would chose the Leupold again.

The Swarovski was not bad at all but Leupold´s glass, overall work
and reliability outstmarted the Swarovski very fast. I have this
scope working on my rimfire now for 5 years and it is a real shooter.
Even at 100 yds it performed quite well. Thanks to the 50mm Objective
it can also be combined with night vision or thermal vision equipment.
Since the weather sucks here and it´s cold or wet most of the time,
the red dot is a great relief for the shooter´s eye. For that money
you never get a better 4-12x50 than this one. The only time I had
to repair a Leupold was one that was around 30-40 years old but
it still worked passable. The customer service was amazing. The
man from Leupold took only 90 € for a reticle change and repair.

I was very glad since Zeiss doesn´t make no repairs under 300 €
and I don´t feel well treated as a customer there. Zeiss is the
typical example of the German service desert and that badly treats
it´s customers. When I called them, they did give the typical answer
one can await from every company in Germany : Sir... it´s sad the
Zeiss didn´t meet your expectations but we don´t care. Buy a more
expensive one for 3500 €..... and you need to change your scope
rings to 34mm and buying new special 34mm Zeiss rings... since it
was senseless to talk with them and they are always right, I decied
to never call them again and boycott them forever when having this
kind of mindset.

My choice is clear for the future, only Leupold. The only mistake I
have made once that I bought a Zeiss 6-24x56 and at 50 yards it already
run out of elevation. This never happened me even with the cheapest
Leupold VX-1 3-9x40. You must imagine that a 170 $ scope outsmarts one
of the most expensive rifle scopes Zeiss had to offer.... a real shame.
However... lesson learned and I hope that other shooters don´t beat around
the bush either and decide for Leupold. Leupold never let´s you stay in
the rain and helps their customers even in a service desert like in Germany.
