Leupold 8x42 wind river cascades - Leupold 8x42 Wind River Cascades Camo Advantage Timber Binoculars

I purchased these for my personal use while deployed to Afghanistan. They're lighter, smaller and have better light transmission than the military models available to a non-SOF soldier like myself. I specifically went with the 8x42 for maximum fov and magnification while still mobile in a vehicle with minimal headaches from the constant motion. I felt the 10x or larger magnification increased discomfort in my situation.
Pros: excellent image quality, easy to set up/operate, rugged housing
Cons: poorly designed lens covers
