Works well - Lockdown Compact Auto Dehumidifier

I have this unit in one of my safes. It removes moisture far better than silica and the calcium chloride type of humidity control. I used to get above 80% RH with those items, and I had a lot of cans eating up space. This dehumidifier is 1/4 the size of all the cans I used to have. The electronic controls maintain humidity between 5% RH of setpoint even when the humidity around the safe goes to near 100% due to rainy weather. In the basement, where my safe is located I had to empty it every 2-3 weeks. I added foam door gasket at the outer surface of the frame and now I can go about 5 + weeks without emptying. I have not installed the drain hose as I do not want to put a hole in the safe. I may purchase another one of these for the cabinet I have my muzzleloading items in. The only thing I don’t like is that the power wire connects perpendicularly into the middle of the rear and the strain relief sticks out over an inch so that you can’t shove it tight against a wall.
