Lou S's Review of Lone Wolf Treestands Climbing Stick
After hunting for more than 15 years, I finally found REAL hunters to follow. The Hunting Public on YouTube and Dan Infalt - real hunters that go deep into the woods. This is the way I used to hunt, but got lazy over the years. Walking in with a Summit Tree Climber isn't exactly lazy, but walking a mile with one of those tree stands on my back just isn't doable every time and certainly dragging a deer out of the woods with a tree stand is impossible.
I bought 4 Lone Wolf Tree Stand Climbing Sticks after a hundred hours of listening and watching the guys on those YouTube Channels go deep into the woods, put up some climbing sticks and use a saddle or a small hang-on stand and connect in places other hunters won't go. This is a better way to hunt, especially when going deeper in the woods.
I found some places in Indiana on public land that are impossible to bring a summit climber into and certainly would have someone steal a quality ladder stand. Climbing sticks can be hiked in and hiked out without a problem. When hiking the same spot, you can leave the top 2 climbing sticks up there and just hike in with 1 or 2 climbing sticks and within a few minutes - you're hunting.
These hunting/climbing sticks are super light. I bought 4 of them, since I want to go 15-20 feet in the air. These climbing sticks are made of high quality and they are, most importantly, mine. and will be used to kill some bucks in 2018 and 2019 for sure.
I can't wait to add my customizations and get this going this weekend and the next several years.
