A decent budget sight - Lucid Optics HD7 Gen III 1x34mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

My review of this sight is simple. If you are looking for a good budget friendly sight, you’ve found one. This company might not have the biggest following, but it seems legit. The sight itself resembles the size and shape of a Trijicon ACOG, but that’s about it as far as the similarities go. There is no magnification. And it uses batteries instead of fiber optics to display the reticle. A plus for the lucid is that you have the option of 4 different reticle shapes. Personally I have found that the circle-dot works best for me. I have noticed some reviewers saying the reticle seems a little blurry, but I have found that the only time it seems too blurry is when the brightness level is set to its brightest setting and you are in a dimly-lit environment. Which brings me to one of the best features about this sight, the Auto-brightness adjust. When you first turn it on, it is already set to automatically adjust your brightness level to the ambient light in your immediate surrounding. This took me by surprise because I thought it would take a couple seconds to adjust the brightness, but it happens instantaneously. It is every bit as smooth of a brightness transition as the ACOG. With that being said, if you do go outside and the sun is beaming straight into it, it will go to that brightest level, and the reticle may look a little fuzzy. But really that is the only bad side to this sight. I have it mounted on a “budget-build” .300 blackout with about 100rds through it and it seems to hold true after every shot. Even switching reticles between shots doesn’t seem to take it off point very much at all. While zeroing was shooting 1” groups at 36yds.
