Mediocre at best - Luna Optics Extended Range IR Laser Illuminator

This is definitely an IR illuminator, I have no prior experience with other IR illuminators. I was able to remove the filter. The problems that I see with this device is that it feels cheaply made, the adjustment device to focus the beam or widen the beam feels loose and loses point of aim easily.Additionally the materials feel cheap, the plastic, the screws that the mount is attached with strip easily.

The print on the dial for increasing and decreasing the light intensity is backwards.

With regard to the beam, the tightest that I could get the focus of the laser is about the size of a baseball.

I would expect better quality for the price, would recommend saving your money.
