Great grip for precision shooting, but not for everyone. - Luth-AR The Chubby Grip - AR

First, this is not a tacti-cool grip. It will get a WTF reactions at the range.
I bought it mainly for consistent hand placement. I could not get my hands on a Tubb's Uptight grip, so when Luth-AR dropped this one I ordered it.
Now let me tell you a few things that may be of an issue.
It will not work with an ambi-safety selector because of the raised trigger finger surface. That feature is great for keeping finger tip contact on the trigger not so good for safety lever. A short lever/ 45degree may work but I have not confirmed that.
Also this grip is more of a hard rubber than solid plastic. Because of that if you over tighten the grip screw causing the screw head to dimple the inside of the grip it will over compress the safety detent spring which will cause the safety lever to stick. I would use a larger diameter washer to limit the affect of dimpling.
Lastly, because I have big hands, after a couple trips out I ended up cutting off the finger nub on the front of the grip as well as the palm shelf. I used a vegetable peeler to shape the bottom to a more rounded butt following the curve of the palm-swell, the hard rubber is soft enough to shape with the tater peeler.
