I screwed the "vise" to my gun bench with t-nuts and thumb screws. Thus fastened, it holds a rifle securely for scrubbing a rifle bore bore or for 'scope mounting and squaring. I have 3" wide stocks on some of my rifles and the vise does not accomodate them perfectly.
Nicely made and tooled, 'tho made in China.
Pros: Does a good job of holding a rifle if you screw it to your work bench.
Cons: Fore end will not accept bench width (3") stocks.
