Review of 2nd magpul ar-10 prs rifle stock - Magpul AR-10 PRS Precision Rifle/Sniper Stock

This is my 2nd PRS so I knew what I was getting. The PRS is a great choice for adding stability and comfort to a benchrest AR rifle. Adjustable length of pull and cheekrest aid in fast repeatable eye relief and viewpoint while the stock's weight aids in stability to help anchor the rifle. My first PRS was purchased from a competitor, arrived in 5 calendar days, installed in 5 minutes without a problem, and both length of pull and cheek rise adjustment screws performed with ease. This 2nd PRS through Optics Planet was a disappointment. It took 12 non-holiday period calendar days to deliver, installation took an hour, and both adjustment screws need pliers to adjust. The difficulty of installation was due to the buffer tube channel in the PRS out of alignment. It is somehow warped but after removing clamping screws, lots of lube and muscle, twisting, and aid of plastic mallet, I was finally able to get it on. I'm sure the difficulty of moving the cheek and length of pull adjustments are due to the binding stock. I needed to use the rifle and had no time to request a return so I will keep it since the adjustments rarely need change once set. So, I rated 2 stars but still recommend the PRS because I know what it can be. This was just a fluke and long delivery time!
