K's Review of Magpul Industries The Magpul Bipod for 1913 Picatinny Rail

Given the price this is a good bipod but has limitations, just my opinion. I like the light and slim profile. Legs fold out smoothly and retract smoothly. Extending the length of the legs is easy and secure. Now what I personally don’t like. No matter how much I crank down the tightness it still pivots and tilts under pressure. When the legs are locked open there is still play in them. I wish there were tighter tolerances here so that when they locked into place they didn’t budge. But if I had to choose one thing I don’t like and wish they would change are the tips on the legs. They are made of the same hard plastic as the body and legs. This makes it almost impossible to “load” the bipod and put your weight into it on surfaces like concrete, brick, stone, wood, compacted dirt/gravel or any other smooth surface. If used in soft dirt, sand, or or maybe pea gravel I think you would be fine. I would have liked a more tacky material like rubber, or the ability to add different feet to match the terrain. But overall for the price I would say it is good, with the understanding there are better options out there which do come with additional cost.
