A diamond in the rough - Global Military Gear Aluminum Black Tri-Rail Barrel Mount for M4/AR-15

For a product marketed for an AR/M4, I was surprised to see a glossy black anodized finish, very disappointing. However, it is well made. I haven't yet heat cycled it yet to check for loosening. I can't help wonder if Mako realizes that the center clamp block would be an excellent place to put a bayonet lug with near perfect spacing for mounting a an M7 bayonet on an M4? Are you listening Mako???
Pros: easy install, solid, versatile
Cons: gloss finish, higher profile than expected
