Had to make way to many adjustments/modifications for it to hold my surf rods , from hardware to grinding. Ended up tossing it in the garbage. What a waste of time and money. Even the lock down mechanism seemed a bit chinsey. Wish that I could have returned it , but because of my modifications that was not possible. I did send numerous photos and questions. One was about the hardware. Their so called engineers replied " oh , just cut them shorter." Never again.
