Disappointing but usable with modifications. - Mars Trigger Folding Brace

When I see this folding brace stock for the 10/22 I thought I hit the lottery for the price however it’s not as nice as the pictures look. The polymer portions of the stock are powdery and faded. The pistol grip is attached with a bolt threaded into a heli coil instead of a proper insert into the polymer. The pistol grip portion that goes against the trigger guard would not fit and needed some filing to make work. When reattaching pistol grip the heli coil pulled out of grip with little effort. So have to drill and add proper insert. The hole for the bolt to mount rifle was too small and needed drilled to put bolt through. The aluminum was scratched in multiple spots and not laser etched like the photos. That’s the bad. The good is the folding mechanism and lock system seems sturdy and is a decent design. With some modifications and upgrades it will work for now. But don’t expect anything spectacular and be prepared to modify. Because this is not drop in ready.
