Greybeard's Review of Matador Arms The Sidewinder Buffer Tube
Side folder worked great for me. This is a CZ457 rifle I'm putting together. It's in an Ultradyne chassis with an MTD stock. The cheek riser interferes with chamber guide and cleaning. This solved that problem... just fold it over, and you've got full access for cleaning.
Note: You can't use this on any firearm that has an AR style spring and buffer. Only works on non-AR guns that use AR style stock attachment.
locks up tight. Out of the box, it was a bit too tight... had to break it in a bit, you might say. Just exercise it a few times. Mounting is simple, your stock screws in and uses a standard castle nut, then you loosen the two hex head studs inside the rear, screw it into your AR style stock mount, line it up, and tighten the two hex studs. This pulls the threaded bit back against the threads, locking it quite securely. Doesn't rattle when locked in place, though it does rattle a bit when it's folded.
