Most Helpful Positive Review This thing is big
Im really liking the organizer, however it is much larger than I anticipated. It will fit in a cargo pocket (think military size cargo pockets, not the once on your dickies) but it will not be comfortable carryying it around like that. It is better suited as a backpack "pocket" organizer. All in all a great product though. Pros: Lots of space, has plenty of webbing, looks durable Cons: Bigger than I thought it would be

Superior to the others

I tried other pocket organizers. Less expensive ones. They fell apart in short order. I own over a dozen Maxpedition products. They're the best. Optics Planet has the best shipping and price anywhere on the net.

Could be tighter

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on June 6, 2013
I added this to the side of my Gearslinger. Used the recomented straps. It is loose enough to catch at times, would have liked it pulled right up to the side of the pack. I entend on cutting the carry loop, applying velcro and hooking it through the next loop above the attached. Should work fine.
Pros: Like all Maxpedition products...it is top quality
Cons: A bit $$$, but, high quality cost more...so ok with it.

After stuffing it full, I can see why many swear by this thing. The seams, zippers and handles are tough, and can really take a beating. For those looking for an EDC pouch, this would be a great choice. It fits knives, small flashlights, multi-tools and writing instruments with ease. I was able to also fit a small notepad inside, as well as miscellany like Chap Stick, Visine, nail clipper and some Sharpies. An internal zippered pouch allows you to slide in a few other things (preferably flat items like wet naps, paper clips, binder clips) that you can then zipper off and keep separate from the rest of your stuff. There are also "hook points" on the left side large enough to clip on a small carabineer for loose keychain items. When you open the pouch, you have a choice of strapping in your items either horizontally or vertically. What I mean by this is that the left side of the pouch has straps laid out in a vertical alignment, and the right side has a horizontal alignment. I thought this was a brilliant, simple design feature that adds another layer of versatility to a rock solid pack.
Pros: Indispensable for EDC
Cons: N/A

Incredibly usable and useful.

Very usable and useful. A must have for any gear bag, B.O.B, or EDC. Good organizational options and methods. Variable size elastic slots lend themselves to a variety of items that can all be layered in without making things overly bulgy or bulky. The interior zippered pocket is a nice touch and very practical. Plus the zippers are real YKK so you know they work well and last long. Multiple tie down points inside are handy as well. In essence the Fatty is a mini EDC that can enhance your main EDC or be used as a really inclusive minimal stand alone. And if you ever need to make room inside your pack, you can always pull the Fatty out and attach via Tac Tie/Molle/PALS to the outside of your bag. It's Maxpedition so you know the quality is there, 1000 denier nylon, triple p.u. coating, super crazy strong stitching...like a well organized tank.
Pros: Strong, durable, portable, compact but big enough
