Mdt field stock-savage short action - MDT Field Stock Chassis System Savage Short Action

This stock is well made and well worth the Price! My Savage FCP-K .308 action and barrel slipped right in with no issues. The bottom bolt release was already fitted in the front of the trigger guard and works great with the fire control group of the action. Action bolts were included and in place out of the box. The aluminum bedding block is well crafted and engineered. I do wish the aluminum bedding continued further into the fore end to stiffen the mounting positions a little more, but that being said, the fore end has Mlok slots on the bottom and sides that are well suited to attachments like the ARCA rail I installed and the bipod attaches securely to the included front swivel stud. Fit and finish is good, but I found myself trimming some of the sharp mold seam lines. When using Magpul AICS short action mags, I had to trim the front of the feed lips for the magazine to fit with this set-up. Have not tried any metal AICS mags yet. Overall a great buy for a low cost upgrade stock. Cant wait to get it out to the range!
