Knolan Owens's Review of MDT LSS Gen2 Chassis System
Firstly, you do NOT need the MDT fixed stock adapter, its threaded for a Mil-Spec buffer tube. Secondly, this adds so much more stability, rigidity, and consistency to the rifle. No problem with varmit contour or factory contour. Comes with action mounting screws only. For recoil lug, drill a small hole into the bottom of the factory stock, heat up the lug with a lighter, then tap the lug or the the drill bit can also push it out. Then it drops right into new chassis. Use blue loctite on every screw, and make sure all threads are clear of build up prior to installation. Honesty you could use this for competition and hunting with ease. If you werent sure about committing to one or the other, this is definitely a hybrid. M-lok slots are nice for weights, bipods, or whatever attatchment pleases your needs. Very easy to creat a center balance for competition, I didnt even need weights.
My first 3 groupings with the new chassis, i achieved two 1/2 inch groups, and the 3rd being 1/4 inch (Never shooting better than 7/8 inch consistently with the last stock). Coincidence? I think not.
