Meade 9260 microscope - Meade 9260 Microscope 08008 DIN Objectives w/ 10 piece Biological Microscope Slide Kit up to $140 OFF

First microscope for 11 year old daughter. She's been happy with it and has pulled it out a half dozen times in the last year. I think a higher quality one would have gotten her to use it more and captured my interest in sharing it with her also. The addition of a light kit would be a plus, but found them a pretty spendy add on. Will look for a more solid scope in the future.
Pros: OK for a starter
Cons: Lens adjustment a bit sloppy. Slide platform difficult to adjust and keep in one spot.
