The red dot finder,when used, is supposed to put the object that you are trying to view in the field of view in the telescope hasn't worked. Depending on where you site through the lens, the object can be off as much as 6" to 8". I have talked to your support department and they tell me that if it is in the red dot lens then it can be view through the telescope........."not so". I have contacted Meade support and never received a reply.
Cons: red dot finder
