Best large aperture refractor on the market - Meade LX70 R5 5in Refractor Telescope w/German Equatorial Mount

Ordered this scope in October around the 26th ,arrived November 19th but it was worth the wait.This scope is like no other scope ,even my current Refractor can't touch it.The image quality of the optics are fantastic.The mystique Refractor telescopes are known for are all here,razor sharp images,snap to focus,clarity,dynamic contrast simply outstanding.This telescope is going to bring the Meade brand back to the top of high quality optics manufactures.Using my 27mm and 14mm eyepieces along with a Meade 2 inch dieletric diagonal i detected no false color on the limb of the Moon,something i expected.Next was the Double cluster to see how good the field of view would be for low power observation.The stars were like perfectly round LED lights of different colors all the way to the edge,this scope is special,really.Build quality and finish and feel of the scope and mount are first rate,it would not look out of place next to a Takahashi or Astrophysics refractor.This is a big scope and will require some space but still manageable.I will recommend this scope to anyone looking for a serious high performance big refractor telescope.At this price you would be wise to buy this scope because once the word gets around about it's quality and performance it just might double,it's that good...
