Great telescope @ great price - Meade LX70 R8 8in Reflector Telescope w/German Equatorial Mount

OpticsPlanet did a wonderful job with the order and shipped real quick. This is my first real tele after returning Cellestron 114eq which had a weak secondary mirror mount. I'm glad I upgraded to 8" and went with Meade. At first view of Jupiter, I really was not too impressed comparing to Celes114e. However, I've found some detailed collimation intructions and got my secondary mirror aligned with focuser and primary mirror. Now Jupiter and it's moon looked amazing. With 25mm and 3x barlow, F5 scope still had plenty FOV. Moon craters look really sharp with 32mm. I live in a heavy light polluted place so not too much luck on DSO yet. LX70 eq mount is strong but i had some slippage on RA. I tightened a few screws on the mount and have not noticed it yet.
