If you only use the Mec short bottles the support is really not needed. As soon as I added the tall shot bottle it became obvious a support was important. This product is the perfect answer. I tried bungee cording the bottles together, but this is much better. Some people mentioned that the Mec funnel can't be used on a short powder bottle while the support is on. This is only true if you chose not to use a baffle. The baffle raises the bottle to the perfect height. Don't wait for a broken bottle of shot to purchase one of these supports!
