When it works it's fine - Mec Mayville 9000G Progressive Shotshell Reloader For 12 Gauge 45308

Having purchased the mec9000gn was to be exciting. Well it was. This machine is an offshoot of the older version that was made with Steel parts. This new version has replaced many of the steel parts with plastic, thus cheapening it. The plastic initial crimper is held on by a tiny ball and will fall off. Put it back on is good for a few times then the retaining hole enlarges and the pre-crimper falls off. Next: The machine is an adjusters DREAM. Just to set it up and run flawless is almost impossible. The people at MEC must assume that those of us that bought this model machine have had extensive experience with previous models. Example of stupidity is the "NEW" 200 primer feeder. One of the suggested methods of tweaking this in is to bend the bracket until it fits well. The feeder tube is a weldment and not at all accurate. If you like playing with constant adjustments, buy it. Mine is for sale. I have an older 650 that does not re-size shells however works flawlessly. I re-size prior to using it. Like I mentioned, when I get my 9000gn working correctly I will put it up for sale. In my opinion it is a Cheap, profitmaking step on MECs part to sell this thing. Junk!
