Fantastic red dot - Meprolight MPO-F 1x 0.95x0.7in Reflex Red Dot Sight

I have used many pistol red dots from many of the major brands and when I found out Meprolight was releasing a couple option for an RMR footprint dot I was very excited sintw,ce for RMR footprint dots the options for a side/top mounted battery are limited to Holosun options, Trijicon RMR HD, and Trijicn SRO. z love my H c2 3ir olosuns and Trijicon SRO, but Trijicon is very pricey, and Holosuns customer service can be pretty poor to deal with from my experiences. I received this MPO-F, and upon having it for a couple of range trips, I am extremely impressed. In terms of specifications, it checks many boxes. It has shake awake, side mounted battery, dust and waterproof ratings, multiple reticles, and plenty of battery life to last quite a long time. I was also very surprised to find it is made in the Philippines, and they still managed to keep the pricing in a very good range even better with OP coupons. As far as details I've noticed on my own, the blue tint is present, but it is less noticeable than my trijicon RMR, Holosun 508T, and Trijicon SRO. The actual dot and other reticle choices (circle and circle dot) are one of the most crisp red dots I have seen. The single 3 MOA dot looks round and precise, looking better than the aforementioned dots. The settings are easy to use. Holding the up button for a few seconds allows you to switch between auto and manual brightness adjustments. Hold the down button, and you switch through your reticle options. The box includes everything you will need to install the dot (torx tool, flat head, battery, and also a lense cloth). The adjustments for windage and elevation have a very audible click, and it is easy to tell how many MOA you have adjusted. This is definitely my new favorite budget RMR footprint red dot and will take these over Holosun going forward.

Lastly, I must mention how responsive Meprolight is. Upon finding out about their new red dot from watching Shot show footage, I reached out to Meprolight, and they gave me an estimate of when to expect them in store. They also got back to me very quickly on a question about this versus their other enclosed option. I ultimately chose this since I prefer to direct mount optics to my slide, but I will likely order the Pro version in the near future based on how positive my experience has been with this.
