forget about useing a wood, brass or any other punch & hammer to install these,, there precision dovetail fit, you'l turn ur $1200 kimber into a $600 kimber useing a hammer.,, these dovetails are super tight & must be perfectly aligned,, i used a hyd press, clamping down the slide, just enough so as not to pinch it,, and slowly pressed meprolight into its dovetail useing a 3/16ths x 1.5" long stainless pin to slowly push on sight, a dial indicator, mounted to press showed me exact depth, to center sight midway of the slide,, i feel i got lucky, all went well, not a project for the novice,, kimber gets $35 to do this + shipping,, probably a bargain,, but when removeing old sights, & measureing for a reference, discovered my new kimber came thru with front sight off 1/32,,[.016] ez to measure with a vernier caliper,, always shot to left,, my other kimbers were dead center,, other then that ,, a real bargain & a precision handgun,, go into a pitch black room, youl see these meprolights & youl know where your 45 is
Pros: precision part
Cons: not 4 novice
