Henry's Review of Meta Tactical Glock 20 Gen 3,4 / SF Apex Carbine Conversion Kit

I haven’t purchased this but intended to buy it and luckily tried it first at a range recently. Will say accuracy was very irregular, and that’s at an indoor range. Defeating the point of a 16in barrel 10mm.

I give two stars for an interesting design, and it felt very well thought out with good ergonomics, but the accuracy issues and more importantly, the price point is bad. At 499 on sale, why would you buy this over a keltec sub 2000 10mm? I don’t work for them nor am I supported by them, but after researching and testing things myself-that’s what I’m doing.

For $100 more, keep your g20 as intended- a pistol, and have a separate dedicated 10mm pcc that is more accurate and takes the same mags. I’d be interested in the Ruger or Smith 10mm pcc but why bother when they don’t take Glock mags? I have huge bins full of mags, it’s gotten old over the years and I like standardized simplistic tools.
I’m not selling my g29, g20, g40 or my 10mm 1911s, and I have too many mags and extras invested to care more about buying another brand name with new parts. If that makes sense.

So my 10mm pcc search brought me to this apex, uses Glock mags but absorbs my g20 for $499, or a sub2000 for $599 and I keep my g20 as a sidearm? No brainer for me. If this was 250 I’d buy it as a range toy, because the 16in barrel velocity is 10mm awesome but this design doesn’t have the same accuracy or price as the sub 2k- which also folds in half!
Pros:
  • Design & Build
Cons:
  • price
  • practically useless
