Millett rings - Millett Turn-in Two-Piece Bases

The rings work as advertised. They are an inexpensive alternative to other mounts and they do allow for windage adjustment. The flaw is they are hollow, so your never sure if they will stay tightly mounted, certainly it would be nice if the mounting hole posts were elongated to touch the barrel so you don't spring the mount. My solution is to use epoxy putty underneath the mount so achieve a good barrel to mount fit. You shouldn't have to but that's not the fact. Otherwise use a different setup. I was sent the rings due to one that failed, so I looked for a solution, and this is what I did.
