Keeps time, but case has just a painted finish...not actual metal - Mos Sydney Mens Watch

I got this watch (New York model...all the same) on a flash sale for $27.00, not the $237 retail you see for this model line at some sites. It keeps accurate time, but 50% of the PAINT that is the actual finish of this watch, has peeled off. Both the case and bezel are made of some real cheap metal underneath. I will only where it in the workshop. It looks too cheap to wear elsewhere now. I am a celestial navigating sailor (sextant, etc.), and that requires a very accurate watch. Each four seconds of time inaccuracy will translate into an error of one mile at sea. This watch is accurate, but if you think this watch (flimsy feeling loose stem) would be water proof, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I am thinking of selling. Give me a call. Thank God I bought this watch cheaply. :)
