Great crates!!!! - MTM Ammo Crate

These two crates are without a doubt the most useful and functional ammo crates I have ever used. No more 30lb 20mm ammo cans or even 50cal or 30cal cans. The shallow version of this can be packed to the brim with 12ga, 22lr, 45ACP, 5.56, 30-30 and/or 3006 and they are not at all too heavy for the average shooter. At the same time you don't feel like you are left wanting for space. I just recent moved to a new home and handled my significant stores of ammunition using a combination of 15 or 16 shallow and deep models crates and they proved to be superior in every way to the stacked up surplus ammo cans I have been using for years.

Easier to move, easier to handle (even full they aren't oppressively heavy), they stack better, they hold the stack WAY better. They seem to be extremely durable even after being moved a couple times with very heavy loads. There was no sagging in the handles, no bowing in the tops/bottoms even with 5 or 6 full crates stacked up together. The rubber surrounds are appropriately large and appear to create a nice air tight seal against the channel. I threw some desiccant in each one to take care of any moisture trapped inside.

All in all these are by FAR the best crates I have come across. I only wish I could have saved more smashed fingers lugging around the old school surplus cans, and gotten these sooner. Oh and incidentally, OP has these cheaper than virtually every other major retailer out there! In some cases they cost HALF as much as the big box retailers in my area.
