Double person ladder stand - Muddy Partner 2-Man Ladderstand

I purchased this tree stand from Walmart, the following day my son in law and I took it down to where I wanted it to go. After getting it up and attached to the tree, I climbed up the stand to sit down and try it out. My son in law went back to my truck to get a ratchet strap to doubly secure it to the tree. I stood up in the stand, heard a snap and began falling. I fell initially 10 feet and was halted by some brush, that broke through and fell another 10 feet to the ground. Both sides of the ladder broke, just below the seat. I laid there for a few minutes, fortunately I dont know how, but was not seriously injured. I took it back to Walmart and will not ever purchase this brand again . Tuning was too thin, weight limit was advertised at 500#.
