Decent chinese budget optic , warranty is useless - beware - Mueller Optical 2-7x32mm Multishot Waterproof Rifle Scope

i purchased this optic here about 1 1/2 years ago and it had dirt inside optic. oh,well it worked ok so i let it go. scope stopped tracking this year, so i sent it back under warranty. they called today saying it had marks from being mounted, and that violated warranty. now hear me out here ..,.i dont overtighten my scopes ! i use a small allen with hand pressure , not a socket . they will not warranty the real problem,which is the adjustment mechanism. the tube wasnt dented, gouged ,or crushed. just had marks on it. so my advice to others is ....do not mount it as this will void their so called "warranty". or you could just assume its an as-is type of throw-away optic , which it is. i did have the option of trading in for a new one for a few bucks less than new .....not gonna happen. im going to sell the other one on my .22 rifle before it has "issues" also. JUST A HEADS UP
