This is an excellent pack for anyone who is considering a backcountry hunting trip. It works equally well as a rifle or bow pack and it carries large loads very well. 60+ pounds was not a problem for this reviewer. The pack bag easily separates from the Fram to create a shelf that can accommodate large and irregular pieces of game and allow you to pack out your pack load and a quarter of your game at the same time. The pack has a good rifle pocket and retention straps for making your hands free for a heavy pack-out. The only pockets are in the top flap, and that may rub some the wrong way but, it helps to keep things simple and the weight down. The top flap also converts into a day pack with he help of the hip belt. Over all a Wonderfull pack!!!
