I got this for a compact scope for my AR. I actually like the optic, seems to hold zero pretty well. My only complaint is that the mount is pretty crappy. It's lop sided which makes the scope sit unlevel. Other than that it's pretty good. My rifle isn't in .223 cal so I cant comment on the BDC turret.
