.223 laser boresighter - NC Star TLZ Series Laser Boresighters for .223/7.62x39/.308/.3006 calibers

I purchased this bore sighter hoping for a cheap and simple means to help zero my rifle. The technology is simple and makes sense. Put cartridge in gun, see laser dot, adjust scope.
Unfortunately, the quality is low on this unit, and accuracy suffers. The laser is, astoundingly, not centered in the cartridge! It points out at an odd angle. There are three tiny screws surrounding it that are presumably for adjustment, but because of the low build quality, they are worthless. I was unable to use them to correct the laser, and so had a crooked, inaccurate sighter. I feel like at the least these screws should be functional, but really, I feel like the laser should be professional and accurately mounted.
