This sight would be OK for quick draw or plate/ pin shooting, where a large dot will be easy to acquire quickly, though a larger reticle would be better (this one is only 25mm). I shoot slowfire pistol, so this thing is useless to me because at 50' the dot covers the the whole black area (the 7, 8, 9 and 10 rings) of the target.
Bottom line, if you want a cheap red/green dot to start with for plate shooting, this will get you started, but it's not the choice for high accuracy stuff.
Pros: Inexpensive, looks good, fairly lightweight, 2 dot colors
