Wanted an inexpensive red dot sight for an inexpensive .22 LR carbine, and the NcSTAR DBB130/3 fit the bill. Screwed right onto the top of my Marlin 795, and I got it zeroed within 30 rounds. Flip-up covers are a nice touch. Doesn't have a battery saver, i.e. a timer to turn off the red dot if you forget to turn it off, so if you leave it on, it will expend the battery. Rheostat on top adjusts the brightness of the red dot to match conditions; on a cloudy day, I could use brightness setting 2 or three. There are seven brightness levels, but as you turn it up, the red dot gets bigger and blurrier. Optics are what you'd expect for under forty bucks, so it's not going to be as clear as an EOTech, say; but it's not $500 to $1000, either. For what it costs, it's decent, and I'd recommend it for someone who wants an entry-level red dot that mounts atop a .22 LR with adapters, and doesn't want to spend a lot of money.
Pros: Easy to mount; Flip-up covers; Rheostat
Cons: No battery saver
