Not really useful - NcSTAR Tactical Red Laser Pistol Sight w/ Trigger Guard Mount

While good in theory, and very inexpensive, this unit does not live up to any expectations. While I admit that the sight's limitations were stated in the description, and I purchased it anyway, I did not expect the piece that fastens the sight to the trigger guard to snap in half while I was trying to tighten it. The wedges used to adjust the angle of the sight relative to the frame of the firearm just do not do the job, they are not form-fitting enough, and they are too hard to conform to the curve of the trigger guard. This leaves the sight, no matter how carefully positioned, pointed either down at the ground, or pointed up at the muzzle, and off to one side or the other, way beyond what can be corrected with the windage & elevation adjuster screws. This was an attempt to mount it on a 1911 government model, not on a pistol with exotic lines on the trigger guard.
