Phillip's Review of NcSTAR XRS Series 2-7x32 Scope w/ Modular Upper Scope Rings & Convertible Base Mount

For those of you looking to add optics to your AR-platform rifle, this scope is a great choice. You can mount this scope directly onto the rifle's carry handle, or remove the carry handle and mount directly to the picatinny rail. The construction of this scope is solid, the optics are clear with a decent field of view, easy to zero, the illuminated reticle works very well at night, and having variable power settings(magnification)with variable brightness settings to the reticle, is a nice touch. It also comes with all the mounting hardware you will ever need and the hardware allows for many different variations of accessory mounting. All in all, this is a nice package deal from NcSTAR and worth every penny. My Smith & Wesson M&P-15 has some pretty serious recoil, especially when using (M-193) 5.56mm military rounds and yet the scope stays zeroed and securely attached to the carry handle. So if your looking for a really decent scope for your M-16 style rifle and don't want to spend a fortune, you won't be disappointed with this XRS series scope from NcSTAR.
Pros:
  • High quality
  • Nice package deal, great value
