I prefer a single AA battery to the multiple AAA you find in some LED lights, easier to find, less parts. The pen writes excellent and is very sturdy, it is however, slightly too long to comfortably go into a shirt pocket.
Pros: well made, flashlight uses 1 AA battery
Cons: the pen is a bit too long to go in a standard shirt pocket
