Do your research on night vision and get good at what they sell. Been around the block with other night vision Gen 1 and 2. No matter what I spent for one of those, they were not what I wanted. This product is. It works well, yes you can see at night. I use the black and white setting seems to work best for me. You can take photos with this of what you are viewing. If I could attach a couple of photos at 125, and 150 yards you could see for yourself it works well. For the price its good, compared to the other night vision units. One other thing its light to hold, not heavy like the other units. I use it to hunt pigs at night, find and see the pigs, then use a bright green kill light on my gun to light them up. Only complaint for this price you would think some type of strap to go around your neck or whatever. With no strap I have to put it down without dropping it and then use my gun. I found I have to put it inside my shirt, to make sure it doesn't fall to the ground from my tree stand. There is a treaded hole in the bottom to attach a tripod, I think I'll try some type of strap and using this small threaded hole to secure it.
