This scope is perfect for high power competition; however, it is grossly over priced. When compared to a Sightron 8-32X, by setting the NXS to 32X, there is little difference in the optical quality (throughout the range up to 32X). I mounted the NXS on my Sako TRG22 where it works pefectly, but at twice the price of a Sightron I have serious doubts. Also, Nightforce, or is it Lightforce, claims this is an American made scope. Imagine my surprise when I turned it over and found "MADE IN JAPAN!" Maybe it's assembled in the USA from Japanese components, maybe not, but if so then say so. Furthermoe, it is shipped in a cheap triangular box (mine was opened with the seal pulled off)with scant padding, and with a cheap rubber bikini type lens cover. It also lacks sufficient MOA for 1000 yard work, you better mount it with a 20MOA base or a set of Burris Signature Zee rings with the 20MOA insert. It tracks excellently, is made like a tank (heavy), all knobs function perfectly and are clearly marked. The reticle is sharp and does not obscure the FOV, it's illumination is difficult to set. If you need this power range for serious shooting, save your money and buy a Sightron.
Pros: Excellent workmanship, Power suitable for F-Class, TR
Cons: Deceptive Advertising, Poor Lens Covers, Illumination setting must be made by removing parallax focus knob
