Very disappointing - NightStar 2X42 Night Vision Binocular, Black

I bought this binocular on a recommendation from ChatGPT. My inquiry was "what is the best night vision binocular for under $1,000". Here are the deficiencies. #1 and least important - no battery included, just an inconvenience.. but still.. #2 it's fixed width. I've never seen a binocular that doesn't have the hinge in the middle. Unless you have a narrow face/eyes close together, the eyepieces don't line up with your eyes. #3 the view through the lenses is "tunnel vision". In other words, the only clear image is a small field of vision in the middle of the view, all around the edges it's blurry. #4 the instructions do not match the binocs. It refers to a switch "being in the off position" but the switch is actually an on/off button and there is no indication of the "position' it's in. This is important because it warns not to do things with the on/off in the "on" or "off" position.
Overall these are not usable in my opinion. I am returning them.
