Ok spotting scope,but not great - Nikon 16-48x60 Spotter XL II Spotting Scope

The Nikon Spotter XL II is compact, and lighter than most scopes. At high power it is not clear. 16-35 power is fine, 35 to 48 is not sharp. Tripod is designed for Cameras not spotting scopes, so you need to mount scope 90 degrees side ways on base plate...they could made one correct for a scope...it not the greatest scope, but OK.
Pros: weight, conpact
Cons: Not sharp at high power
