Once, with a $50 pair of optics, I spent the better part of an evening, stalking a bush. For the next three years, I tried every set of binoculars I could get my hands on. My next, full sized pair, cost almost two grand. Try climbing a tree with a bow, quiver full of arrows, range finder, calls, and a big, clunky, EXPENSIVE pair of binoculars. I spent half my energy trying not to scratch them. The Nikon's fit in my shirt pocket, and I can NOT tell the difference in clarity. Even, after sunset, the image is so clear, the difference in brightness is not worth mentioning. I take them on every trip and rank their importance second only to my bow. Maybe, there's a better choice for birdwatching, (when binoculars is all you carry,) but my opinion is that these are the finest pair of hunting binoculars, ever made.
Pros: Unbelievable image for size.
