New model: nikon aculon 10 x 42 a211 - Nikon Aculon A211 10x42mm Porro Prism Binoculars

Well, this is a first impression. Just tried breifly before heading to Magee Marsh/Lake Erie. I returned two models to other sites; both similar yet one was around $45 more. Very good optics but just not my preference/"feel". I like the dial in the middle, not that flat mechanism you tilt. Pentax has this on some of their models. They're light as well. I found one review, maybe two online overall. The girl said these were as good as her $600 roof prism model - note: these are porro. The price may come down since this IS birding season when they go up.
(Supply & Demand - always good to buy things after the season if you can wait.) The strap and pouch and lens covers are great. Strap was difficult to put on - especially using mediocre instructions, if you ask me.
