Great rangefinder for the money. Nice optics. Very simple use. Small size. Ergonomics are great; fit hands perfectly. The measurement is fast... almost instantaneous
As value for money goes, it is a best range finder.

Not a good range finder
Primary use for bow hunting. Range finder struggles to range any dark object at any distance. Wether it’s an animal, target, tree etc. when the range finder does work the yardage’s seem to quite good numbers wise. The screen is clear and easy to read. How ever my particular Aculon was simply a wast...

nikon aculon
the range finder works great. is easy to use. nikon had instructions on line and that was real helpful. i would recommend this product. the rangefinder is light and compact. great for setting up range stakes and other markers for distance. when the game animal is buy one of these stakes you dont need to range the target. very handy item.

Reasonably priced and it works!
I consider this a high value product. It won't break the bank and it works as it's supposeto. I've had very little failures to get a range read back as I've read can happen on other reviews. It's a rare occurrence. This item is a necessity for shooting on state land where we have many different range shots we can take. Serves a useful purpose for the kind of shooting we do.

Archers beware doesnt read dark targets (Black or dark brown) 3D targets
Great price nice size unit !! 3D archery black pig target was 30 yards and range finder read 61.Its stated on page 8 of owners manual that product may be inaccurate on "Black Target" My opinion Nikon should state this on product specs.3D archers shoot black targets.Hunters shoot black animals.I'm going to contact Nikon but I dont think its going to do any good far as return or upgrade to a range finder that reads black targets.Probably for golf or open well lit fields ranger finder will work fine.

Great accessory!
I have played with it in the yard but bought it for deer hunting. I have transitioned, by necessity, from thick woods to open bean field hunting. These old eyes needed help judging distances in a compact light device. It's taking some getting used to because of the size and trembly hands but it WORKS and that's what counts. It was affordable and was shipped in a timely manner. Recommend the product and Opticplanet!
Pros:
- Small and light weight. It works!
Cons:
- A little difficult to hold steady.
Best Used for:
- My purpose is judging open field shooting.

Nice affordable rangefinder.
I got the refurbished model and wish I'd bought the new one. The refund has a speck on the lens. Still, it does the job. Most affordable quality rangefinder I could find. It has a nice case that comes with it.

Good value
The view finder is clear and the range finder buttons easy to operate. Range readings are given quickly. I use it to range distances less than 200 yards and it works well on a ground squirrel. Just like all my previous Nikon purchases this one is great value.

Great bang for the buck
I bought this for my cousin who is just getting into bow hunting. I didn't want to spend too much and I found this on sale. For 150 I don't think there is something better out there. Works perfectly! I think this is the go to rangefinder for someone just starting out. Where you save money on this you can put it into other gear.
Pros:
- Works as advertised
- clear optics
- bang for the buck
Cons:
- None so far!

Great Little Rangefinder
Not much to say about this other than it does the job and does it well. It has a long battery life and can beam back off of most surfaces. Handy yard and meter alternative toggle too. Tried against trees, cars, and on moving objects while depressing down the button and it feeds back pretty reliably. Nice little case as well to store it in. Great price!

great little unit
Ive only had it for a couple of hours but can honestly say it works better then the 400 dollar unit I owned made by the same manufacture. Its small, light weight and works great. That about describes it........
