Good value for the price - Nikon Monarch 5 12x42mm Binoculars

Mixed reactions. Got a great sale price on these optics and they serviced me well on a whitetail hunt to Wy. Wide field of view, good light gathering qualities at dawn and dusk. The set up on these is a real pain, especially putting on the eyepiece cover. Okay for what I paid, but not worth full price. Would save a few extra dollars and go with a more top end like Swarovski or Leica especially if you plan a lot of Western or SW big game hunting.
Pros: light, nice field of view, good optics
Cons: Covers are a pain, setting up covers a real pain
