Looking to get a Weatherby Vanguard in .223 - how would this scope mate up with the Weatherby? I see a lot of posts for ARs but not bolt action. I like the scope and price but concerned about application.

Great scope at a great price. Often on sale and sometimes comes with mounts as well. Good quality and works great for the AR platform. I’ve got these scopes in variable and fixed power and have never been disappointed.

I normally don't say much on reviews about items because of variables but have to mention this one.i mounted it on my a r match rifle.i load my own ammo for competition because of variables..this scope was awesome. Good eye relief for prone shooting..I put it on 6 power for off hand and 9 power for prone. Impact was the same..after zeroing it at 200 yds off the bench my last five shots at a 52 c tatget I had five x,s with three shots takin x out in center...I moved the scope up three min then back to 0. Still shoot x,s . repeatability was good..I will shoot it in a high power match this month in match any sight class..I tried another brand scope that was four times more expensive and different brand..the a r destroyed it mid way of match from it's kinda double recoil..so far I love it. Good product and a great price

It’s exactly what you would expect a nice clear inexpensive scope which is made by Nikon A+ I’ve never had any issues with any Nikon brand product I’ve bought throughout my life. So by that being said I would totally recommend this product it gets the job done.
Cons:
- Which I could see further

I would have rated it five stars but I haven't used it yet.The scope is a beauty! It has a rugged feeling to it and it is very light. As I said, I haven't tried it on the rifle but the view is clear and refined.
Pros:
- Nice looking light weight.

I bought this scope for an AR just before a night hog hunting trip. I mounted it and had it sighted in with 4 shots at 100. We hunted in the rain for a night and in short abused this in just about every way possible including dropping it off my pack in the sand. Next day it was still 10X at 100. I have spent over 5K on some of my long range scopes so believe me when I say if you looking for something out to 500 yds. invest in this.

The Nikon P223 scope is a perfect match foe my M&P AR. Easy to sight in. Holds its setting. Sturdy construction. Bright, sharp optics. Smooth zoom. A must have at 100 yards plus. My scope is mounted on a 1/2 inch riser and fits my eye beautifully.

Very well built scope so far, haven’t had time to put any rounds down range but initial impressions are good. The materials feel strong and durable and the lenses are extremely clear. Windage and elevation nobs have a positive response although seem a little bulky in my opinion. Overall very good product still
Pros:
- GREAT PRICE
- very well built
- Clear Lense
Cons:
- Windage nobs are a little bulky

I start by saying I bought this after a lot of research I read product reviews until I was confident this was the perfect scope for my build. The setup was neat with the spot on app the glowing reviews I was sold. So I laid down some hard earned cash on a Nikon it’s a brand you can trust I have one very similar on my 35 Remington but with a fixed magnification it’s pretty accurate after being bounced around and mistreated I’m still staying on target. Not the case with this scope I took it out of the box and carefully mounted it placed it in the lead sled and strapped it in. Then we bore sighted it at 50 yards this thing is all over the place maybe it’s me. So I get another shooter to give it a try same results at 50 yards if I got 5 shots on the paper after the initial shot I was lucky. Keep in mind this isn’t a shaky hand inaccurate this is shooting from a lead sled clamped in from a bench. The more shots the further off target it goes. Maybe it’s the ammo I was using so we switched it up. Nope same results. I call on another friend that is very good shooter. We go through the same results. He pulls his AR out and takes the scope out pops the quick release rings off his rail and puts it on my AR nice tight pattern. We put the Nikon on his rifle same disastrous results. I wish I had spent the extra to get the Leupold scope now. So after my scientific reasoning and going through all the possible failures of this scope I have determined it’s not the ammo, not the ri...
