Just a little squeeze! - Nikon P-Series Mount 835,1 in

I like this mount, a lot. Others have noted that one or both are too tight to fit on the rail and must be filed to fit. One of mine was quite tight but I did not want to file through the protective anodized and died layer. What I found was that if you place the dovetailed end of the mount in a padded vice and GENTLY squeeze it, it will separate the dovetail enough so that the mount will easily slide into place. No filing is needed. This might take several tries. You only want to spread the dovetail enough to just slip fit over the rail.
This mount offers as much variation in placement as you could hope for. It allows more room for the mounting of back up sights than any other mount I have looked at. If there is no room at the far rear of the mount you can place the rear back up sight in front of the rear mount and still have a good sight radius.
Build quality is very good. The term "for the money" really doesn't apply here in my humble opinion. I'd say it's well worth the cost and equal to other mounts costing more. I like it much better than the one piece.
